Stopped in early afternoon with a friend and it wasn't busy. We sat at the bar where staff was very friendly and we were served quickly. Our food came out fast. Everything was wonderful and we LOVED the smoked salmon. We got the large nachos and salads. I cannot express how delicious the nachos were! Very happy we came in and we plan to return!

One of the best BBQ places in Colorado. The smoke, moisture, and flavor hit the palette perfectly. Located juat a few minutes off I-70, Highside BBQ has easy parking and plenty of space for any party size. This dog and family friendly spot features an outdoor seating area for the four legged friends and an arcade for children of all ages. This local brewery also provides almost two dozen crafted beers from the stout to the sweet. My favorite was the Mexican Candy draft My server was attentive and professional and there was no wait for service during lunch. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for their BBQ, ambiance, amd draft beer.

We stopped by for a bite and some beers on our way to Breckenridge. Food was good, beers were better, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Some of the meats were a little overcooked and dry. The side dishes and appetizers we tried were good but nothing memorable. The overall ambiance was consistent with most brew houses. Was a little concerned when two dogs in the restaurant got into a little fight with each other and might suggest not allowing pets.

Excellent barbecue, disappointing service. My two boys and I stopped at Highside Brewing & BBQ in Frisco for lunch on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, right when they opened at 11:00 a.m. The space has a cool mountain-rustic feel, and the friendly dogs roaming around were a huge hit with my kids. The food itself was genuinely very good. The ribs and brisket were both well prepared, and whoever is handling the smoker/kitchen clearly knows what they are doing. Unfortunately, the hospitality did not match the quality of the food. When we walked in, we were handed menus and told we could sit anywhere, but nobody explained that ordering had to be done at the bar. We sat for 5ā10 minutes waiting before I finally got up to ask. The bartender/server was not particularly welcoming and simply told me I needed to order at the bar. That may be the system, but it should be clearly explained when guests arrive or printed clearly on the menu. The menu also said to ask about platter pricing if you want to try multiple barbecue items. When I asked, I was told they do not offer that and that she did not know why it was on the menu. As a result, we ordered separate portions of ribs and brisket, which were good, but felt expensive for the overall experience. This place could be excellent with just a little more warmth, communication, and basic hospitality. The food, atmosphere, and family-friendly touches were strong. The service made the overall experience feel like guests were more of an inconvenience than a priority.

Was excited to see CO BBQ for a change but was not impressed. Had the brisket. It only comes in 1/2 lb size, nothing smaller. More than 1/2 of the brisket was pure fat. Some fat is ok but this was excessive and was not edible unless you like eating pure fat. Not worth $20 in my opinion. Plus it was very bland for smoked brisket. Its also disappointing that they only have 2 sauce choices, a regular and a mustard one. Come for the atmosphere and maybe beer but, skip the brisket!

Man this place has alot of potential, cool place, nice vibe. Service is either waaayyy over worked or they are just terrible; I got in (seat yourself) took about 25 mins before I just got sick of waiting and walked up to the bar to order a drink (maybe thats just how it is here or maybe they just dont like non-locals?) that took another 5 min. Beer was amazing. Cool they allow dogs but 9 dogs and 3 barkers was a little wack. Server brought me food that I didnt order then forgot my order which was a bummer. Wanted to watch the Avs game but the lady didnt have time or wanted to change it for me on my TV so she told me to just change it myself using the remote taped to the bottom of the TV. Took me like 14 mins to figure out where it was and how to get it on lol could just be me being an idiot ig. Nachos were okay, then I order some hometown chili and she asked me "what meat?", I said whatever comes in it and she gave me a weird look so I said idk, pork, I Guess?.. Proceeded to give me green chili instead of regular chili and seemed irritated the whole time. Probably just cause busy but still, I went back and kinda just was like, I tried to eat it but its just straight green chili; she tried to tell me thats what I ordered but then went "fine, whatever, ill get it ordered." Is what it is man, she was pry just stressed out about it being somewhat busy, maybe like 17 people. Proceeded to wait about 40 mins (yes for real) for my one side of chili. The Atmosphere was cool but when I stay in town again I defo won't be coming back. By the 3rd period my buzz was killed so I left; bummed me out. I had high hopes š¤·āāļø. Honestly, hotel bar pry would have been better. Take me advise and either find another place or stay home.
